This is a list of story ideas I'd like to flesh out into complete screenplays someday. Since I'm a slow writer who often suffers writer's block, there's no telling when/if these screenplays will ever actually see the light of day.

Empyrean
Jade Noonesson, a transgendered prostitute haunted by her past, finds herself pursued by a fundamentalist serial killer who may be less than human.
A film about the life of Yeshua of Nazareth. The narrative would include adoptionist, panentheist, and universalist themes, as well as sayings from the Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Mary, and Leo Tolstoy's The Gospel in Brief.

The Slow and the Dead
Decades ago, a massive comet struck the Earth, devastating the Earth and killing millions. Of those who survived the initial cataclysm, one-third died after a viral agent secreted within the comet ice was released, transforming them into non-violent but incredibly infectious undead known as "slombies" (slow zombies). The survivors were divided into two camps: the "hygies", who had escaped exposure to the virus but remained susceptible to infection, and the "typhs", immune carriers of the virus. The hygies retreated to subterranean bunkers and walled cities, leaving the typhs to eke out lives in the post-apocalyptic world outside.
One of the typhs — an old scrounger with a motorcycle, two handguns, and a large bag of chocolate chips — finds himself riding the empty wastelands, coming into conflict with murderous highwaymen, paranoid hygies, violent slombie-worshipping cults, and unscrupulous sex traffickers.
